- American Cancer Society. Information is provided on ACS programs,
events and contact for local chapters. There is extensive information
and links on cancer diagnosis and treatment. www.cancer.org
- American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO): ASCO is a non-profit
organization that strongly supports all types of cancer research. Its
mission encompasses the support of high quality health care, the exchange
of cancer-related information and the facilitation of communication.
The patient oriented component of the site is a comprehensive compilation
on media resources, clinical trials, NCI-designated cancer centers and

- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This a branch of
the federal Department of Health and Human Services. There is information

- Childhood Brain Tumor Foundation. This foundation, begun by
parents, friends and physicians, is dedicated to raise funds for scientific
research and heighten public awareness of this disease and to improve

leading national advocacy organizations for cancer patients and their

- Sarcoma Alliance. This is a non-profit organization that guides

- Wellness Web, Consumers Taking Charge is a clearinghouse for
health and wellness information from a variety of sources. It should
