Our mission is to be the definitive resource for patients and family members to obtain timely, easy, & free access to expert pathology second opinions for the purpose of accurate cancer diagnosis.
FindCancerExperts is a unique referral source for patients, family members, and health care providers who desire an expert second opinion on a biopsy diagnosis of cancer. To achieve this objective, we have established an extensive network of nationally and internationally prominent pathologists from major university teaching hospitals and cancer centers. All of our consultants meet stringent credentialing and academic criteria. Their areas of expertise span all the sub specialty fields in diagnostic surgical pathology.
It is the policy of FindCancerExperts that all medical content on this site be written and updated regularly by our staff physicians. All information and claims are evidence-based and supporting documentation is readily provided in our reference section. Veteran staff pathologists and members of the Medical Advisory Board determine the selection of pathology consultants.
This site adheres to the highest standards of confidentiality and privacy. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption (128-bit) technology is employed, which is the industry standard for secure, web-based communications. The site does not require subscription or membership to use our services. We neither accept advertising nor sell or make available any medical information or demographic data about our site visitors to any third parties. In order to provide independent and unbiased information, the site does not sell medical- or health-related advertising space or accept other forms of financial investment or support from medical corporations (i.e., pharmaceutical or insurance companies). No portion of the consultant's fee is returned to the site as cash or in kind.

The Founder of FindCancerExperts, Barry M. Shmookler, M.D., is a
prominent surgical pathologist with 18 years experience as Director of Surgical Pathology at a major cancer hospital in Washington, D.C. He also served as a staff pathologist for more than 5 years at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. Dr. Shmookler has published more than 60 articles and chapters in medical journals and textbooks. He also holds membership in numerous academic pathology societies.
